Flame war

A flame war is when people on the internet get into a big argument that is filled with lots of hurtful comments and insults. It's like when two kids start fighting and saying mean things to each other. Except on the internet, it can happen between lots of people all at once, and it can last for a long time. The name comes from the idea of people throwing angry comments around like flames. It's not a good thing to be involved in, and it's important to remember to always be respectful and kind to each other, even if you disagree.
