Flammability diagram

A flammability diagram is like a special map that shows us how likely things are to catch on fire. Think of it like a board game where we have different kinds of materials (like wood, paper, or gasoline) that we want to move safely from one place to another without them catching fire.

The flammability diagram helps us know how to keep those materials safe. It's like a picture of two different things that are important when it comes to starting fires: temperature and concentration.

Temperature is like how hot or cold something is. We know that if something gets too hot, it can catch on fire. The flammability diagram shows us how hot we can let our materials get without them catching fire. The hotter they get, the more likely they are to catch fire.

Concentration is like how much of something we have in one place. We know that if we have too much of something in one place, it can catch on fire. The flammability diagram shows us how much of our materials we can have in one place without them catching fire. The more of them we have in one place, the more likely they are to catch fire.

So when we look at the flammability diagram, we can see where it's safe for us to move our materials, and where we need to be careful. It's like a special map that helps us play the fire safety board game and keep everything from catching on fire!
