Flow map

A flow map is like a treasure map that shows how things move from one place to another. Imagine you have a toy car, and you want to drive it from your house to your grandparent's house. You would draw a flow map to show the route you would take. It would look like a picture with different arrows that connect your home to your grandparent's home.

The arrows on the flow map show the direction of the movement, and they are usually of different sizes. The big arrows show that a lot of things move in that direction, while the small arrows show that only a few things move that way. For instance, if you are drawing a flow map of people traveling from one city to another, you could use a large arrow to show that many people travel by train, and a small arrow to show that only a few people go by airplane.

Flow maps can help you understand how things move between different places. If, for instance, you are studying the migration of animals or people, you can use a flow map to see where they come from and where they go. Flow maps are also used in business to show how goods or services are transported from one location to another. They help us to see patterns and trends, and to make predictions about future movements.
