Flyback converter

A flyback converter is a type of power supply used to transform electrical energy into a different form (like from AC to DC for example). It works by taking electricity from an input source and using it to charge up a capacitor. The capacitor stores the electricity and then releases it in one big burst through a transformer. The transformer then changes the shape of the electricity which then travels to the output where it is released as a different form that can be used in circuits.
