Folksonomy

Folksonomy is a way for people to organize things together by using tags. A tag is a word or phrase that describes something. For example, let's say you are making a photo album and you have a lot of pictures in it that you want to organize. With folksonomy, you would create tags for each picture (like beach, family, or funny) and then group the pictures together based on the tags! That way it's easier to find a particular picture when you are looking for it.
