ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Foreign electoral intervention

Foreign electoral intervention is when one country tries to influence the outcome of an election in another country. For example, one country might give money to a political party in another country or spread lies about another candidate in order to help the candidate they want to win. This can be done in a variety of ways, like using social media to spread false information or trying to influence the media to support their candidates. It's wrong and it can affect the outcome of an election in a negative way.
