Foreign influences on Pompeii

Okay kiddo, so Pompeii was a city a long, long time ago in ancient Rome. People lived there and had their own culture and way of life. But, many other people from different places would come to visit or live in Pompeii too. These people brought their own ideas and traditions with them, which influenced the people of Pompeii and their way of life.

For example, people from Greece (which is a country near Italy where Pompeii was) brought their art, mythology, and religion to Pompeii. They also taught the people of Pompeii how to write in Greek.

There were also people from Africa who lived in Pompeii and they brought their own clothes and jewelry, which influenced the fashion in Pompeii.

There were even people from Asia who lived in Pompeii and they brought new foods and spices that the people of Pompeii had never tasted before.

So you see, Pompeii was not just its own little world. It was a place where many different cultures and people came together, and these foreign influences helped shape the city and the people who lived there.
