Foreign language anxiety

Have you ever been scared to speak a different language that you don't know very well? Maybe you feel nervous or embarrassed when you have to talk to someone who speaks a different language than you. That's called foreign language anxiety.

Imagine you're a little kid, and you only know how to speak English. But one day, you moved to a country where everyone speaks a different language like Spanish, and you don't know any Spanish. You might feel scared to speak to people or go to school because you can't understand what people are saying.

That's how some people feel when they have to speak a different language. They worry that they won't be able to say things right or that people will make fun of them. It's like being nervous to sing in front of people or give a speech.

But it doesn't have to be scary! Learning a new language is fun, and you can even make new friends who speak that language. Sometimes, it just takes a little practice and patience to overcome foreign language anxiety.
