ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Forestry mulching

Forestry mulching is when a really cool machine, kind of like a big lawn mower, goes into the forest and clears out all the dead trees, leaves, and other plants that are no longer alive. The machine chops up all of these things into really small pieces called mulch.

This machine is really special because it can do the job all by itself without harming the healthy trees that are still alive. It's like picking up trash in your yard but for the forest.

The mulch that is made can then be used for all sorts of things like putting it back into the forest to help new trees grow or covering up pathways to keep them from getting muddy.

Forestry mulching is a great way to take care of the forest and make sure it stays healthy!
