ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Four discourses

Okay kiddo, let me explain what are the four discourses!

A discourse is like a way of talking or communicating with others. And in this case, there are four different ways that people use to talk about or explain things.

Discourse number 1 is called the Master discourse. This is a way of speaking where someone has all the power and authority, and other people listen and obey them.

Discourse number 2 is called the University discourse. This is how teachers and professors communicate knowledge to their students. They use logic, scientific facts and research to teach different subjects.

Discourse number 3 is called the Hysteric discourse. This is when people ask a lot of questions, they are curious and want to know more. They try to find the truth in what others are saying and often challenge or question authority.

Discourse number 4 is called the Analyst discourse. This is when people break down complex ideas into smaller pieces to understand them better. They seek to analyze, interpret and deconstruct what others say.

So, these are the four different ways that people communicate, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. It's important to understand these different forms of communication so that we can communicate better with each other!
