Free bleeding

When people bleed, they usually use something called a pad, tampon, or menstrual cup to help catch the blood so it doesn't get everywhere. Free bleeding is when someone decides not to use any of those things, and instead just lets the blood come out and soak into their clothes or whatever they're sitting or standing on.

Some people choose to free bleed as a way of challenging the idea that periods are something to be ashamed of or hidden away. They might also believe that pads and tampons are uncomfortable or even unhealthy, and prefer to let the blood flow naturally.

However, free bleeding can be messy and potentially embarrassing if the blood leaks through clothing. It's also important to make sure you're still maintaining good hygiene and changing out of blood-soaked clothes regularly to avoid odor or infection.
