French entry into World War I

World War I was a very big war that happened from 1914-1918. France was one of the countries in the war. France entered the war because Germany invaded France, which is called an "attack." The Germans wanted to take over France to get more power and land and the French wanted to protect their country. So the French military got together to fight and stopped the Germans, which started the war.
