Fried shrimp

Okay kiddo, let's talk about fried shrimp! First, do you remember what shrimp are? They're little sea creatures that look like mini lobsters.

So, when we fry something, we cook it by putting it in really hot oil. It's kind of like when we cook eggs in a frying pan, but we use oil instead of butter.

To make fried shrimp, we take those little sea creatures and we dip them in a batter. This batter is like a special coating that helps the shrimp get crispy when we fry them. It's kind of like putting on a jacket before you go outside on a cold day.

Once we dip the shrimp in the batter, we carefully put them into the hot oil. They cook really quickly because the oil is so hot, and the batter starts to turn golden brown.

When the shrimp are ready, we take them out of the oil and let them cool for a minute. Then, we can eat them! They're crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Some people like to dip them in special sauces, like cocktail sauce or tartar sauce.

So that's fried shrimp - a yummy seafood treat that's crispy and delicious!
