Friedrich Paulsen

Friedrich Paulsen was a German education thinker and professor who lived from 1846 to 1908. He believed that education should be about more than just teaching facts from textbooks, and that it should help each individual student reach his or her potential. He said that education should involve more active learning and discussion, and that the teacher should make learning fun. He also taught that students should be encouraged to think for themselves and to use their imaginations. Paulsen wanted students to gain knowledge and develop their own ideas, so they could be leaders and make positive changes in society.
