Fringe medicine

Fringe medicine, also known as alternative medicine, is when people use different kinds of treatments for their health problems that are not commonly used by doctors. Sometimes these treatments are not proven by science to work, so doctors might not recommend them.

For example, some people might use acupuncture, which is when a person puts small needles into your skin in specific places to try to help your body feel better. Another example is herbal medicine, which is when people use plants or plant extracts to try to cure their diseases or help them feel better.

It’s important to remember that while some of these alternative treatments may work for some people, they might not work for everyone. And sometimes, they can even be harmful. So it’s always a good idea to talk to your doctor before trying any kind of fringe medicine.
