Frog (fastening)

A frog is like a little strap that helps you keep something closed. It's usually made out of the same material as the thing it's closing, like on a coat. You might see it on traditional Chinese clothing or on a cape, too. It's kind of like a belt, but instead of wrapping around your waist, it wraps around the other side of whatever you're trying to close. This keeps things nice and snug.
