Frozen conflict

Okay kiddo, sometimes countries or groups of people can have big disagreements that make them angry with each other. Sometimes, these disagreements can turn into a fight or a war.

A "frozen conflict" is a situation where these disagreements are still there, but the fighting has stopped. Imagine two people who were yelling at each other and throwing things. Even if they stop throwing things and stop yelling, they might still be upset at each other and not want to talk.

Similarly, in a frozen conflict, even though the fighting has stopped, there is still a lot of tension and distrust between the two groups. They might not want to talk to each other or work together. Both groups might be angry and feel like they didn't get what they wanted, but they are not fighting anymore.

Sometimes, the people or countries in a frozen conflict can live like this for a long time, without any resolution or change. This can be a difficult and frustrating situation for everyone involved.
