Fsck

That’s where fsck comes in! It’s like a doctor for your computer's file system. It checks everything to see if it’s healthy and working properly. If it finds any problems, it tries its best to fix them, just like how a doctor gives you medicine to make you feel better!

Let’s say you spilled your milk on the computer keyboard and then turned it on. This can cause some files to get mixed up and lost. So, when you run fsck, it will check all the files on your computer and see if they have any problems. If it finds something wrong, it will try to fix it so your computer can work properly again.

Fsck is usually not something you need to worry about, as it will run automatically when your computer starts up. But sometimes you might need to run it manually if your computer is acting weird or if it crashes unexpectedly. And just like you might go back to the doctor for a check-up, you can run fsck every now and then just to be sure everything is working properly.
