Data scrubbing

Data scrubbing is like cleaning your house. Whenever you clean your house, you throw out things that you don't need and organize the things that you want to keep - data scrubbing does the same thing with digital data. When data scrubbing, computers get rid of outdated data (like throwing out the old clothes in your house that you don't wear anymore) and look for mistakes or duplicate information (like when you organize the toys in your house). Data scrubbing makes sure that all the digital data is correct and up-to-date.
