ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Full scale

Okay, kiddo, imagine you have a big toy car that you want to measure. To find out how big it is in real life, you need to use something called a "scale". A scale can help you determine the size of something by comparing it to something else that is the same, but smaller.

Now, let's say you have a toy car that is 10 inches long, and you want to know how long a real car would be if it were the same size. If you use a scale of 1:10, that means that every inch on the toy car is equal to 10 inches on a real car. So, if you multiply 10 inches (the length of the toy car) by 10 (the ratio on your scale), you get a full-scale car that is 100 inches long!

In other words, "full scale" simply means that you're measuring something at the same size as it would be in real life. So, in our example, the "full scale" car would be the actual size that a real car would be if it were the same size as the toy car.
