Fungal infection

Fungal infection is when tiny things called fungi invade your body and make you sick. Fungi are kind of like plants, but they don't need sunlight to grow. They like to live in warm and damp places, like between your toes or in your mouth.

If you get a fungal infection, it can make your skin itch or hurt. Sometimes you might see red patches on your skin, or your skin might start to peel. You might also get an infection in your nails, which can make them look weird and change color.

Fungal infections can happen to anyone, but they are more likely to happen to people who sweat a lot or have weak immune systems. You can get a fungal infection by touching someone else who has it, or by touching something that has the fungus on it.

If you think you have a fungal infection, you should see a doctor. They can give you medicine to get rid of the infection. You can also help prevent fungal infections by keeping your skin clean and dry, and by wearing shoes or sandals in public places like locker rooms.
