Fungal sinusitis

Hi kiddo! Do you know what our nose does? It helps us breathe air, smell nice smells like yummy baked cookies, and it also acts like a filter to keep dust and harmful things out of our body.

Sometimes, our nose can have too much fungus growing in it, and that's called fungal sinusitis. Fungus is like tiny plants that grow in dark, damp places, like the inside of our nose. This extra fungus can make it hard for us to breathe or make our nose feel stuffed up and runny.

Doctors can help us get rid of the extra fungus by giving us medicine to kill it. They might also clean out our nose to make sure we are breathing well again. Then we can go back to smelling all those yummy smells again, just like before!
