Fused glass

Fused glass is like playing with colorful candy! Just like when you put different types of candy in a jar and melt them together in the microwave, when you fuse glass, you mix different colors and shapes of glass together and melt them with heat to create a new piece.

First, you choose your favorite colors and cut them into different shapes using tools like scissors. Think about what you want to make, like a pretty sun catcher or a dish to hold your favorite jewelry.

Then, you put the pieces of glass together on a special tray that can go inside the oven. The oven is very hot, just like when you bake cookies, and it makes the glass pieces slowly melt and stick together.

After the glass is done fusing, it is cooled down slowly so it doesn't break. Then you can take it out of the oven and admire your beautiful creation!
