Fusor

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a big glowing ball of light like a fireworks in the sky? Well, scientists use special machines called "fusors" to create a similar ball of light, but much smaller, here on Earth.

The fusor works by using electricity to heat up a tiny amount of fuel, like hydrogen or helium, until it becomes really hot and turned into plasma. The plasma is then squeezed together by an electric field to make it hotter and denser, causing some of the atoms to collide and stick together, like in a mini nuclear reaction.

People use fusors to study how atoms react under extreme conditions, like the ones found in stars. But fusors are also used to try and create energy, like in nuclear power plants. Scientists are still working on making this possible, but it's a very tricky process that requires a lot of control and patience.

So, that's the fusor! It's a machine that creates a little sun on Earth to help scientists understand how stars work and maybe one day create energy without creating pollution.
