Future-oriented therapy

Future-oriented therapy is a type of therapy in which people talk about the future and how they can reach their goals. Therapists help people plan for their future and make decisions about how they want to live their lives. The aim is to help people feel motivated and focused on the future. To do this, the therapist might ask questions like "What do you want to do next year?", or suggest activities like journaling, goal-setting and visualising what you want your future to look like. Therapy can also help people stay focused on their priorities, reducing stress and anxiety.
