G-test

G-test is a test statistic used in statistics to tell if two groups of data are different from each other. It measures how likely it is that the results from the two groups of data could come from the same source. The G-test is a way to compare two different data sets and decide if they are different or not. When two data sets are compared, a big number (called the g-value) is calculated. If the g-value is big, it means the two data sets are very different from each other. If the g-value is small, it means the two data sets are similar.
