GISCorps

GisCorps is a volunteer program that helps people and organizations around the world by providing expertise in a special kind of computer technology called Geographic Information Systems (GIS). GIS helps people look at and analyze data and maps of the world. GisCorps volunteers are experts in GIS who are willing to travel around the world to help people understand their local environment and make good decisions about their land use. GisCorps volunteers also help with projects like tracking endangered species and creating flood risk maps. GisCorps is like a volunteer corps of computer experts who help people make the world a better place.
