GRB 070714B stands for Gamma Ray Burst 070714B. GRBs are very bright flashes of light that come from outer space. GRB 070714B was first discovered by an orbiting satellite in July 2007. Scientists believe this GRB was created when two dense, dead stars called neutron stars merged and exploded. The energy made from the explosion was so strong that it was seen for a few seconds from Earth!
