Gal Vihara
Gal Vihara is a special place in Sri Lanka where people go to see really cool statues of Buddha. A statue is like a big toy or a doll that someone made out of stone. This place has four different statues of Buddha that are really famous and lots of people like to come and visit them.
One statue shows Buddha sitting down with his legs crossed and his hands resting on his lap. Another statue shows Buddha standing up and he looks very tall and powerful. There is also a statue where Buddha is lying down and it looks like he is sleeping. Finally, there is a statue where Buddha has one hand raised up and his other hand is pointing down to the ground.
All of these statues are very special because they are very old and were made by people a long, long, long time ago. They spent a lot of time and worked really hard to make these statues so people could come and see them and feel happy and peaceful.
