Gale warning

A gale warning is like your mom telling you to stay inside because it's going to be very, very windy outside. Just like how you wouldn't want to be blown away by the wind, ships and boats don't want to be pushed around by strong winds while they are sailing.

So, when the weather people say there's a gale warning, it means that the wind is going to be very strong and it could be dangerous for boats to be out in the water. If you were planning to go on a boat ride or a fishing trip, it's best to wait until the warning is over so that everyone can be safe.

Sometimes, people might not listen to the gale warning and go out anyway. That can be really dangerous, because the wind could make the boat tip over or get carried away by the waves. So always listen to the gale warning and stay safe!
