ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Galero

A galero is a hat that priests wear in the Catholic Church. It looks like a wide-brimmed hat with tassels hanging down from the edges. This hat is a symbol of a priest's rank in the Church. In the past, different colors and styles of galero were worn by priests of different ranks. However, this tradition has changed in recent times, and now only a few high-ranking priests wear a galero. So, when you see a Catholic priest wearing a wide-brimmed hat with tassels, you know that they are a very important priest in the Church.
