Galilean

Have you ever heard of Galileo? He was a really smart scientist who lived a very long time ago, in the 16th century. Galileo was known for studying space and the stars, and he made a very important discovery about the moons of Jupiter.

When people talk about something being "Galilean," they are usually referring to things that have to do with the way Galileo studied the planets and stars. Galileo was very curious about the world around him, and he invented a special telescope to help him see things in space that nobody had ever seen before.

One of the things that Galileo noticed when he looked at Jupiter through his telescope was that there were four little dots around the planet. At first he thought they were stars, but then he realized that they were actually moons, like our Earth has a moon. This was a really big discovery, because nobody had ever seen moons orbiting a planet besides our own before!

So when people talk about "Galilean" things, they're usually talking about things that have to do with space and the stars, and the way that Galileo contributed to our understanding of them. Galileo was a very important scientist, and his discoveries are still very interesting and important to scientists today.
