Gearbox

A gearbox is like a magic machine in a car that helps it go faster or slower. Imagine you have a bicycle with two different sizes of sprockets - one is big and one is small. When you pedal with the big sprocket, your bike goes slow but it's easy to pedal. But when you use the small sprocket your bike goes faster but it's harder to pedal.

A gearbox works the same way, it changes how fast or slow the engine in the car spins, which in turn makes the car go faster or slower.
