Generation Z are people who were born in the late 1990s to the early 2010s. They are the youngest group of people living in the United States today. They are different from kids who came before them in some ways; for example, they are more digitally connected since they've had access to the internet since they were young. They are also more racially and ethnically diverse than previous generations, with about 45% of Generation Z people identifying as nonwhite. Gen Z has higher levels of education than previous generations with more than half having attended college or post-secondary education. They are also more mindful of environmental and social issues and are more likely to use their voice to speak out on important causes. Gen Z is the most globally connected generation in history and uses technology to communicate and stay up to date with current events.
