Genesis 27
Genesis 27 is a story from a long time ago in the Bible, about a man named Isaac and his sons Jacob and Esau. Isaac was old and blind, and he wanted to give his blessing to his eldest son Esau, so he asked him to go hunt some wild game and then cook it for him.
But Jacob, who was the younger brother, tricked his father by pretending to be Esau. Jacob put animal hair on his arms so that he felt hairy like Esau and he made some food that tasted like the food Esau would make. Then he went to his father and said he was Esau, so Isaac ended up giving his blessing to Jacob instead of Esau.
When Esau found out what had happened, he was very angry and wanted to hurt Jacob. So Jacob had to run away and live somewhere else for a while. It was a very sad and tricky situation for everyone involved, but it reminds us that we should always be honest with our family and not try to deceive them.
