Genetics in fiction

Genetics in fiction are made up stories about how people, animals, and plants get their traits from their parents. For example, a story might say that people look like their parents because they inherited some of their parents' features through special instructions (called genes) that are stored in their bodies. In the story, these genes might let the characters do special things or look like something out of the ordinary.
