Genome screen

A genome screen is like when you are looking at a big map of your body's instructions to see if there are any parts that might be causing problems or making you different from other people. Scientists take a little bit of your blood or saliva and look at all the tiny pieces that make up your DNA (which are like little instruction manuals). They look at all the different parts to see if there are any differences or mistakes that might make you more likely to have certain diseases or look different from other people. It's like checking under the hood of your car to make sure everything is running smoothly.
