A geocentric model is a way of explaining the way the universe works. It means that the Earth is at the very center of the universe, and everything else in the universe revolves around it. This was a very common belief thousands of years ago, but it's no longer accepted now that we've learned a lot more about the universe and space. In the geocentric model, the Sun, the Moon, stars, and even planets like Jupiter and Saturn all went around the Earth in perfect circles. Of course, that's not how the universe works now that we know more, but it was a fascinating idea at the time.
