Geography of Turkey

Turkey is a big country that sits at the crossroads between Europe and Asia. It's shaped kind of like a giant chicken leg with a bumpy body.

On the west coast of Turkey, there's a big sea called the Aegean. Imagine that it's like a giant swimming pool filled with clear blue water. The Aegean is connected to the Mediterranean Sea in the south, which is like another big swimming pool.

Up north, there's a big body of water called the Black Sea. It's like a big pot of dark water that's always cold.

In the middle of Turkey, there are big mountains that have snow on top. People love to go skiing there.

Turkey is also home to a lot of big cities. The capital city is called Ankara, and it's located in the middle of the country. The biggest city is Istanbul, which is on the west coast near the Aegean Sea. Istanbul used to be called Constantinople a long time ago, and it was an important city for the Romans and the Ottomans.

People in Turkey speak a language called Turkish, and they eat a lot of tasty food like kebab and baklava. Overall, Turkey is a really cool place with a lot of interesting geography and history!
