Geojurisprudence

Geojurisprudence is a way of thinking about law which focuses on geography. It is a way of looking at law which considers how places and locations affect the laws that are made. It looks at how law relates to the environment, economics, social dynamics and laws of different countries. It is the study of how law relates to the geography of a place. We use geojurisprudence to look at how laws can be applied differently in different places, and how changes in the environment or different resources can affect how laws are enforced. For example, a law against illegal fishing in a certain area may not be very effective if a lot of the fishermen in the area cannot afford to buy legal fishing equipment. Geojurisprudence helps us understand how different factors can play a role in how laws are enforced.
