A geological unit is like a slice of cake. Just like how a cake is made up of different layers or flavors, the Earth's surface is made up of different layers too, called geological units. But instead of flavors, geological units are made up of different types of rocks, dirt, and minerals stacked on top of each other. Each layer can tell us something about the history of the Earth, just like how each slice of cake tells us something about the ingredients and recipe it was made with!
