Geopathology

Geopathology is a big word that means studying how things like rocks and soil can affect our health. Imagine you're playing outside and you see some big rocks. Those rocks can be really cool to play around, but they can also cause problems.

If those rocks are really heavy and sharp, they might fall and hurt you. But there's another way that rocks can cause problems that we can't see - they can have substances in them that can make us sick.

For example, some rocks have things called radon or uranium in them, and those things can give you diseases like cancer. Soil can also have chemicals or metals in it that are dangerous to humans.

So, geopathologists study these things to find out where they are and how to keep people safe. They might do things like testing the soil and rocks to see what's in them, and then telling people who live nearby to be careful or even move away if it's too dangerous.

So, geopathology is kind of like being a detective to find out what could be making people sick because of things in the ground. By doing this, they can keep us safe and healthy.
