Gerardus 't Hooft

Gerardus 't Hooft is a Dutch theoretical physicist. He's best known for his work on quantum mechanics, which is a branch of science that studies how particles like atoms and molecules behave and interact with each other. Gerardus figured out how to use mathematics to explain the behavior of these tiny particles and made lots of important discoveries about how they work. His work earned him a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1999, which is a very big honor in the world of science.
