ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gerhard Lenski

Gerhard Lenski was a German-American sociologist who studied different types of societies throughout history, and looked at how societies changed over time. He believed that all societies could be classified into different types, such as hunter-gatherer societies, agricultural societies, and industrial societies. He argued that societies change over time because of their technology and economics. For example, a hunter-gatherer society would have different technology and economic systems than an industrial society. He also studied how power and social roles are distributed in a society and how those roles change over time. Lenski's theories are still used today by sociologists to study the evolution of societies.
