German Revolution

The German Revolution was a time of big changes for the people of Germany. It happened in 1918 and 1919 when people started to stand up for their right to choose their own kind of government. People were angry and wanted to overthrow the monarchy that had been in place since the 1500s. During the revolution, the people of Germany put together a new government, called the Weimar Republic. The Weimar Republic gave the people of Germany a say in their government, and it also allowed them to create new laws. So, in a way, the German Revolution was like a big party where everyone got to decide what kind of government they wanted.
