German keyboard layout

A German keyboard layout is a special type of keyboard layout made specifically for typing in the German language. It looks a lot like a regular English language keyboard, but there are some differences. Some of the letters have been changed around, and there are also some special symbols that don't appear on the English language keyboards. For example, the letter ä (a with two dots above it) is over the letter z, and the special character ß (a double-s) is over the letter s. There are also special symbols for other German letters (like ü, ö and Ä). All of these extra symbols help you properly type German words.
