Ghatwals and Mulraiyats

Ghatwals and mulraiyats are two different types of farmers in India who work on the land.

Imagine you have a big field where you want to grow crops. You can either work on the field yourself or you can ask someone else to do it for you.

Ghatwals are like the bosses of the field. They are responsible for making sure that everything is done correctly and that everyone is working hard. They are in charge of hiring workers and making sure they get paid. They also make sure that the crops are taken care of and that everything is harvested at the right time.

Mulraiyats are the workers who actually do the farming. They do things like plowing the fields, planting seeds, watering the plants, and harvesting the crops. They work hard every day to make sure that the crops grow well and that they are ready to be sold or eaten.

In some cases, ghatwals and mulraiyats work together on the same farm. The ghatwal gives instructions to the mulraiyats and makes sure everything is going smoothly. In other cases, ghatwals own the land and the mulraiyats are hired to work on it.

Overall, ghatwals and mulraiyats are both important parts of farming in India. They work together to make sure that crops are grown correctly and that everyone is doing their job to the best of their abilities.
