Gilbert Simondon was a French philosopher who believed that people and objects were not just separate things but, instead, they were made up of many different parts all connected together. He thought of them as being like a machine with all of its components working together to make it work. Simondon thought that each part of the machine and each person was linked to the other parts and people and that everyone and everything was part of the same big machine. He thought that understanding the connections and relationships between the components of the machine were key to understanding how everything works.
