ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gilgal

Gilgal is a place in the Bible where the Israelites put up a pile of rocks to remember something important that happened to them. It was near the Jordan River where they first went into the land of Canaan. Gilgal is sometimes called the "place of circumcision" because the Israelites renewed their covenant with God and circumcised all the men who had not been circumcised before. It was a very important place for the Israelites because it reminded them of God's promises to them and their commitment to obey God's commands.
