Ginzburg–Landau theory

Ginzburg-Landau theory (GLT) is an equation that helps us understand how certain materials behave when they are subjected to very cold temperatures. When materials are cooled down to very low temperatures, they often become magnetized. The GLT equation helps us understand why this happens, as well as what happens in between. It also helps us better understand how electric and magnetic fields interact with matter at very cold temperatures. Basically, the GLT equation explains how materials behave in different kinds of environments and can help us understand things like why some materials become superconductors at certain temperatures.
